Mr. Simpson is an associate and a registered patent attorney in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group who focuses his practice on litigation and patent preparation and prosecution.

He represents clients in diverse intellectual property matters, and has significant experience in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts, including drug delivery systems and formulations, as well as compound per se. He also counsels clients on issues regarding Internet and technology law. Mr. Simpson additionally performs searches for and drafts opinions regarding patentability and right-to-use.

Mr. Simpson's prosecution experience includes domestic and international patent applications, including those filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. His litigation experience also includes mediation and arbitration, corporate defense, as well as bench trial and extensive motion practice. He has taken and defended dozens of depositions, including those involving designated expert witnesses in diverse professional fields.

Mr. Simpson is licensed to practice law in Missouri and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
