Mr. Preston joined the firm in 2006 and is an associate in the firm's Real Estate Law practice group.  He assists clients in a broad range of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, development, disposition, and leasing of commercial, retail, multi-family residential and industrial properties.  His practice includes the negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, restrictive covenants, subdivision and shopping center indentures and condominium declarations.  He also works with municipal, county and state governments on zoning, subdivision and licensing issues.

Mr. Preston has experience with a broad range of public financing redevelopment incentives including tax increment financing (TIF) districts, Community Improvement Districts (CIDs), Neighborhood Improvement Districts (NIDs), and Transportation Development Districts (TDDs).  He has advised subdivision trustees and associations in connection with the enforcement, interpretation and revision of subdivision indentures.  He has also advised clients in connection with landlord/tenant disputes, property tax appeals, and condemnation matters.

In addition to his real estate practice, he assists clients with general business matters and green building issues.
