Environmental Sustainability Policy

Consistent with Gallop, Johnson & Neuman's continuing commitment to excellence in the practice of law, our firm upholds this Environmental Sustainability Policy which mandates that we will implement our best efforts to conduct our law office operations in a manner which promotes conservation of natural resources and promotes environmental sustainability.  Included in our efforts in this regard are internal commitments for the use of renewable and recyclable resources and, also, to partner with service and material suppliers externally which have adopted similar policies and procedures promoting conservation of natural resources and preservation of our environment.

Internal Green Initiatives

Gallop, Johnson & Neuman was the first law firm in St. Louis to become a certified partner in the American Bar Association-Environmental Protection Agency Law Office Climate Challenge, a program to encourage law offices to become better environmental and energy stewards.

In this regard, our firm has made a formal commitment to implement productive environmental sustainability measures, fueled by our awareness of the many dynamic "green" issues in the world around us.

Our commitment also reflects issues our clients face when dealing with environmental, regulatory, conservation and energy matters within their organizations.

Internally at the firm, we have implemented a full complement of environmental sustainability measures which, in addition to forming and conducting regular meetings of our "Green Committee," to date include:

  • Purchasing and using 30 percent post-consumer recycled paper in all legal and administrative documents.
  • Ensuring that all purchases of electronic equipment are "Energy Star" certified.
  • Eliminating all styrofoam plates and cups and encouraging use of non-disposables.
  • Providing all personnel with recycling bins and encouraging all staff to recycle.
